At Jump In 2 Musik, our piano lessons are structured on the Simply Music program.  Simply Music is a revolutionary, Australian-developed piano and keyboard method that presents a breakthrough in music education.

This unique method has children, teens, adults and seniors, playing great sounding blues, classical, contemporary and accompaniment pieces - immediately - from their very first lessons. In stark contrast to traditional methods that require students to learn music-reading as the means of learning to play, Simply Music teachers temporarily delay music-reading and introduce a revolutionary, 'playing-based' methodology.

This remarkably natural approach to learning music initially involves exposing students to a vast array of unique, copyrighted concepts that unfold directly onto the keyboard and produce unprecedented results.

Having lessons with a Simply Music teacher means experiencing the pleasure and satisfaction that comes from immediately playing a vast repertoire of great-sounding music.

Fee Structure

Specific Goals

As a part of this Fundamental Goal, there are four, Specific Goals that our program and methodology are centred around. Our aim is for students to:

1. •Experience their musicianship as a natural self-expression;
   

2. •Play a vast repertoire covering a broad array of musical styles and genres;
   

3. •Develop the ability to self-generate. i.e. the ability to progress independently. This includes developing a foundation of music reading, writing, composition, improvisation, arrangement, structure and theory etc.
   

4. •Have a highly positive, self-affirming experience throughout the music learning process;

Are the “At Home Materials”, a keyboard or piano necessary?

Absolutely!  It is the reinforcement of the activities within the home environment that will ensure the program’s success and give your child the best opportunity to learn.  All children learn best in the comfort and security of their own home and gain confidence through repetition. As your child gains confidence they will more actively participate in class and gain greater benefit from the classes.
